My experience at ALL IN Montréal: a roadmap for AI integration at m&h

We see it every day: artificial intelligence is no longer an idea of the future. It’s transforming our jobs and our ways of creating, and it’s up to us to give it its rightful place and make it a driver of progress.

This is exactly the spirit in which I took part in ALL IN Montréal, Canada’s largest event dedicated to artificial intelligence. This experience has consolidated our vision at m&h: the question is no longer whether we should adopt AI, but how to integrate it intelligently, i.e., ethically, safely and with real impact. As IT director, my role is to translate this wave of innovation into a solid technological foundation, on which our teams can build the creative experiences of tomorrow.

To achieve this, we built our roadmap around three main axes, which were consolidated using the observations and exchanges made during the summit.

 

  1. Content security and governance, a top priority

    The discussions in Montréal clearly confirmed that even the most sophisticated AI tools require rigorous management to protect a company’s reputation and ensure compliance. That’s why we rely on proven business platforms and maintain strict human supervision.

    At m&h, AI is deployed as a controlled co-pilot within our workflows. We prioritize solutions that offer solid security guarantees, particularly in our Adobe ecosystem. Our approach is based on checking the robustness of the tools and imposing systematic human validation before the generated content is used.

    Discussions on data sovereignty have also solidified one of our principles when it comes to selecting SaaS production tools. Data localization in Canada and strict compliance with Law 25 (Quebec) are now non-negotiable criteria.

  2. Operational efficiency

    Designed as a cloud-scale AI factory, our infrastructure is part of a broader reflection, also discussed in Montréal, on the need for AI-optimized architectures. In concrete terms, we create truly fluid workflows between our platforms by intelligently connecting them, thereby eliminating bottlenecks that slow down production.

    This technical fluidity must, however, be paired with rigorous resource management. The FinOps approach we apply to our Cloud subscriptions enables us to balance performance and profitability. By measuring the actual use of our tools, we optimize our costs while maintaining a high processing capacity.

  3. Leveraging augmented IT to support our growth

    The role of IT teams has been at the heart of many discussions on adopting artificial intelligence, a subject that fully reflects our reality. For an agile team like ours, AI acts as a veritable efficiency multiplier. We use it to automate the management of recurring requests and the indexing of our internal documentation. This reclaimed time is directly reinvested where it has the greatest impact: in the proactive monitoring and continuous improvement of our production systems. This strategy ensures that our software infrastructure remains scalable and can handle large volumes of content with speed and stability, making IT a driver for the studio rather than a hindrance.

My experience at ALL IN has helped refine our strategic approach to AI. More than just a tool, AI becomes a catalyst for productivity when integrated into a clear, well-controlled framework. At m&h, this integration is underpinned by a rigorous IT roadmap, with security, compliance and continuous improvement at the heart of our priorities. It is from this balance between innovation and responsibility that we derive the quality and reliability of our creations.
