Prompt Engineer/AI Content Lead

The Prompt Engineer / AI Content Lead will be responsible for developing, refining, and maintaining high-quality AI prompts that drive effective and relevant content generation across multiple channels. This role combines technical expertise in AI prompt engineering with creative leadership to ensure AI-generated content aligns with brand voice, audience needs, and business objectives.

You will act as the bridge between creative teams, technical developers, and business stakeholders, continually testing, optimizing, and innovating prompt strategies to improve AI performance and output quality.

Key Responsibilities

Prompt Design & Optimization

  • Develop, structure, and fine-tune prompts for various AI models (e.g., GPT, image generation tools) to produce high-quality and contextually accurate content.
  • Implement prompt engineering best practices, including few-shot and chain-of-thought prompting, to maximize AI performance.
  • Maintain a prompt library with documentation, examples, and guidelines for internal use.

Content Quality & AI Integration

  • Collaborate with writers, designers, and technical teams to ensure AI-generated content meets tone, style, and compliance standards.
  • Review, edit, and refine AI outputs to ensure accuracy, relevance, and brand alignment.
  • Develop workflows to integrate AI-generated drafts into the content creation process efficiently.

AI Content Strategy Leadership

  • Lead the creation of AI-driven content strategies that support marketing, communication, and product initiatives.
  • Research emerging AI tools and methods to keep the organization at the forefront of AI-assisted creativity.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on effective AI prompt use and ethical AI content practices.

Performance Analysis & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and analyze key metrics related to AI-generated content performance (engagement, accuracy, conversion rates, etc.).
  • Experiment with different prompting techniques and model configurations to improve output quality.
  • Prepare regular reports with actionable recommendations for AI content optimization.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in prompt engineering, natural language processing (NLP), or AI-assisted content creation.
  • Strong understanding of AI models, generative AI tools, and their practical applications in content production.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance creativity with data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams (marketing, design, engineering, product).
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and performance measurement for digital content.
  • Knowledge of ethical AI practices, bias detection, and responsible AI use (an asset).
  • Experience in multiple content formats (articles, social media, video scripts, e-commerce product descriptions, etc.) (an asset).
  • Comfort with scripting or basic coding (Python, JavaScript) to experiment with AI model APIs (an asset).
